The Statistical information, Reporting and Research (SIRO) department is responsible for the central administration and continuous improvement of the informational value of CBCS’s financial-economic data. The department collects, processes and presents statistics on different areas - monetary, financial, balance of payments, real sector and government - for internal and external use. Furthermore, the department is responsible for ensuring compliance with and executing the Foreign Exchange Regulations Curaçao and Sint Maarten. SIRO also grants licenses to offshore companies and residents for capital transactions by virtue of the aforementioned regulations.
As Statistical Analyst, you are entrusted with monetary supervision, which includes carrying out quality controls on statistics, ensuring compliance with the foreign exchange regulations, maintaining regular contact with rapporteurs on periodical financial-economic reports, and paying onsite visits to financial and non-financial institutions. You prepare financial-economic reports as well as foreign exchange licenses and/or exemptions and you analyze significant fluctuations and trends in statistics. Furthermore, you participate in projects aimed at improving/expanding current statistics, provide companies with courses on reports submitted to the Bank, and present analysis to individual institutions.
- A bachelors or master’s degree, preferably in finance and/or economics;
- Several years of relevant working experience in the financial sector;
- Knowledge of and experience in the field of the governments and economies of Curaçao and Sint Maarten;
- Knowledge of and experience in statistics and automated information systems;
- Good verbal and written communication skills (Dutch and English).
Terms of employment:
- Competitive salary depending on education and experience;
- Admission to the Algemeen Pensioenfonds pension fund.
